Emmanuelle (Eman) Manigat is a proud child of Haitian immigrants. She was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, and now resides in Toronto. She holds a Master's degree in Pastoral Studies and a certification in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto.
Eman’s personal connection to her work, informed by her own experiences and those of her community, drives her passion for helping individuals who face emotional and spiritual distress. She employs techniques from narrative therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as powerful tools to help clients reclaim their identities and rewrite their stories after enduring pain and sorrow, including experiences of racial trauma. Additionally, she adopts a decolonization approach to healing, which embraces the diversity of experiences within the Black community and utilizes art as a medium for healing.
