I want to start by acknowledging how hard it can be to reach out for support. It’s completely normal to feel unsure, worried about being judged, or uncertain about whether therapy will help. I understand how vulnerable it can feel to take that first step, especially when you’ve learned to keep parts of yourself hidden to stay safe. When you’ve survived by people-pleasing, dissociating, or complying—especially in the face of trauma and abuse—it can feel overwhelming to imagine things being any different.
Therapy offers a space where you no longer have to carry these burdens alone. It’s a space to be heard and understood, free from judgment. Together, we can explore the patterns and responses that have helped you survive but may no longer be serving you, so you can start to feel more connected to yourself and others in ways that feel safe and freeing.
In our work together, I’m committed to honoring all that you are. My approach is rooted in deep respect for your voice, your identity, and your own pace. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic approaches, and somatic work, integrating anti-racist, queer, and intersectional feminist principles to support you as you explore what a future that feels right for you might be.
Trauma can take away so much—your sense of self, the ability to trust, the confidence to use your voice. Together, we’ll work on reclaiming those parts, helping you feel grounded, set boundaries that protect your peace, and rebuild trust in yourself.
You are deserving of peace, rest, and the feeling of safety in your own skin. You deserve nourishment, compassion, community, and joy. This is a space for you to rediscover those things in your own time
There’s no rush and no expectation—just an open invitation to begin when you feel ready. If you'd like to explore whether working together feels right for you, I’d be happy to connect for a free 15-minute phone consultation.
