Life can be challenging to navigate. During difficult times, we might distract ourselves and push aside our pain in hopes of feeling better. Although it helps us cope with the distress and unpleasant emotions in the moment, it also prevents us from being true to ourselves and within our relationships. It's human nature to want to feel heard, seen, and connected to others. However, there are times in which we might feel undeserving, betrayed, abandoned, isolated, numb, disappointed, dismissed or worthless. Situations might occur that cause us to feel alone, resulting in feelings of stress or sadness that bring us down or makes us feel inadequate.

Although change can be challenging, sometimes a little help is needed to overcome life hurdles, manage interpersonal relationships, and heal from traumatic experiences (including past and present wounds).Throughout your therapeutic journey, you will the chance to be your authentic self, feel empowered as well as explore your thoughts, feelings and behavioral patterns in a nonjudgmental environment. As everyone is unique and on their own personal journey, I will meet you where you are while using a variety of theories. In my work with adults (18+), I employ a humanistic orientation, which means that I believe that each individual is capable of taking control of their life, creating change, and establishing a positive outlook, regardless of life’s hurdles. By the end of your therapeutic journey, you will have the chance to heal from past and present wounds, develop a positive perspective on your life, reduce any stress you may be experiencing, and increase your self-awareness.
