I'm a Registered Psychotherapist who is passionate about improving the mental health for folks within Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) communities. As someone born in central Africa and raised in both southern and northern Africa before moving to Canada, my desire to support the healing, recovery, and growth of others is rooted in an awareness and understanding of both unique and shared BIPOC experiences.

I work with clients who feel stuck or unsure about the path they’re on in life as well as those who may find it difficult as they navigate the challenges of day-to-day stress, various forms of burnout, periods of adjustment following big life changes, relationships, painful past experiences or unique racialized experiences. I also work with couples who may be dealing with the impact of mental health issues within their relationship, communication difficulties, and significant changes in their lives as well as couples who may feel uncertain about their future together.

My priority is for you to feel respected and understood in an atmosphere of trust and nonjudgment as we explore whatever brings you to therapy. Our sessions can then become a place where you build insight, clarity, and greater capacity as we collaborate on how to support sustainable and fulfilling changes in your life.

I offer talk therapy approaches to address habits and ways of thinking that may no longer feel as helpful as you would like, and I offer evidence-based somatic therapy approaches to support the natural processes within your body for processing and resolving symptoms of emotional distress, anxiety, stress, chronic stress, and burnout. I also incorporate practices informed by my training in yoga and meditation. Ultimately, through a holistic, identity-affirming, and 2SLGBTQI+ affirming approach to therapy, I tailor what I do in our sessions to support your unique journey towards a greater sense of balance, healing, wellness, and continued growth.

Creating meaningful change can be empowering and feel deeply satisfying. My hope is that as we work together, you can see and feel the impact of positive change in your mental health.
