I understand that vulnerability in therapy can be new and scary work for some of us. I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental and comforting environment for those from various backgrounds. Supporting those who struggle with intergenerational trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and emotional regulation, is the main focus of my practice. In my experience, I have learned that it takes courage to seek therapy and self-compassion to show up for ourselves continuously. Cultural competence is important in my practice and I understand the cultural nuances that influence minorities in our community. I understand first-hand how depression and anxiety can seep into every part of our life and create layers of anger, shame and guilt. Both my background and life experiences help me effectively work alongside racialized queer & POC in our community. I have also worked with brain trauma patients who have struggled with emotional regulation. I am deeply committed to supporting clients through a strength-based approach with the client's goals in mind. I believe that we are all experts on ourselves and my goal is to work with you to uncover your strengths and foster a deeper level of self-trust. I am currently under the supervision of Phoebe Chin, obtaining a master's degree in Counselling Psychology
