Hi, my name is Shanna-Kay Stephens. I am a therapist who specializes in working with children, youth, and their families in the area of mental health. I help people navigate conflict, challenges, and stress within marriages, families, workplaces, and systems of oppression. My approach is to offer clients a listening ear, build understanding, and provide an alternative perspective regarding identified issues and work collaboratively to outline goals which facilitate the change clients desire in their lives. I welcome the opportunity to work with individuals, couples, and/or families who are motivated to process the personal, cultural, and structurally barriers that impact their emotional and psychological well-being on daily basis and desire change, growth, and a new perspective. Given the everyday busyness of life, it is important to slow down and take time for you and matters close to your heart. With a heart for the home and family, I encourage individuals and families to seek counselling for self-care, balance, and well-being because it starts with you.
