I am a Christian woman of African-Canadian heritage. I am a Registered Social Worker with Master's of Social Work degree. My professional expertise includes providing couples counseling/therapy, family counselling, and individual counselling to those who may be experiencing relationship conflicts. low-self esteem, anxiety, and more.
My faith is what drives and guides my practice with specific focus on compassion, kindness, justice, mercy, love and always non-judgmental (He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? - Micah 6:8).
I am passionate about social justice by promoting the advancement and
overall well-being of those that have been systemically marginalized, particularly African, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, consequently I believe that therapy ought to accessible to all folks, which is why I implement a sliding scale, finances should not come in the way of your relational wellness.
My focus is help rebuild esteem, intimacy, trust, and friendship. Together, we can work on healing and provide you with the tools to grow individually, as a family, and/or couple to (re)establish a stronger sense of self; ensuring that when working with couples and families, we collaboratively cultivate, and maintain mutual respect while feeling heard, seen, valued, understood, and supported by your partner/family members.
