Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Couple and Family Therapist (CFT), Registered Psychotherapist (RP)

I hold a Master of Social Work (2006), Master of Science (Applied) in Couple and Family Therapy (2020) degrees from McGill University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Individual, Couple and Family Therapist (CFT), Accredited Family Mediator (AFM) governed by the Quebec Order of Social Workers and Couple and Family Therapists (OTSTCFQ) licensed board. Registered psychotherapist with the Quebec Order of Psychologists (OPQ). As a mental health clinician for the past 15 years and counting in the public health and social services network, I have had the honor in working alongside and advocating with clients of diverse ages, ethno-cultural and racialized communities, and identity groups. I bring a transcultural intersectional racial systemic trauma informed approach in helping individuals and couples experiencing distressing emotions and interpersonal challenges.

Through couple and family therapy training, internship at the McGill University Sexual Identity Centre (MUSIC),as well as member on transgender research, I have developed a growing competency and keen interest in working with 2SLGBTQIA+ racialized, immigrant clients and couples.
As an accredited family mediator, I work with parents and couples in negotiating an amicable separation agreement in the hope of maintaining healthy co-parenting relationship.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative partnership in which your strengths and resiliency takes center stage as you are helped in maneuvering through life challenges and unresolved trauma. In adopting an affirmative/integrative trauma informed systemic approach, as an equity and inclusive person/psychotherapist, I vow to honor your intersecting stories, to be your ally, help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
