I am inspired by the enormous teaching moments that being in nature or relating to nature provides in creating balance in our lives. Life challenges provide opportunities for harnessing our strengths and shaping the beauty of our well-being. The central pillars that inform my counselling practice begin with facilitating your understanding of trauma, the influence of your culture and the cognitive behavioural lenses you use to view the world. An integration of this intersection can lead to a re-establishment of connection and community, which is critical to our thriving as humans. I incorporate a range of techniques from counselling modalities such as emotionally focused, cognitive behavioural, person centred and nature based therapies. Blending such elements creates a holistic and person centred approach for each client. Our individual life journeys have different paths and this is what makes us unique. The goal is to find our authentic gifts and trust our ability to honour them in the interest of our emotional and spiritual health. I create a safe, brave space for you to accomplish the goals you have for your own well-being. My mission is to support and empower individuals and organizations to embrace healthy lifestyle practices into their lives, by providing simple, affordable, life changing skills that create seamless shifts in mindset and behaviors. I welcome the privilege of being a guide as you seek to restore your equilibrium. I am a registered Social worker (R.S.W.) with over 30 years of experience working in hospitals, community mental health, palliative care, and corporate organizations.
