Expressive Arts Therapist / Counsellor
Therapy is a process of discovery in which the creative therapies have an overall positive benefit for healing the self, often discovered during the act of art making itself. I integrate visual arts, writing, movement, and sound in our sessions and practice Expressive Arts Therapy in combination with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Together we can discover methods of healing and ways of feeling better emotionally, physically, and mentally. I use a multi-modal arts-based, person-centred approach of psychotherapy to address experiences that are sometimes hard to just talk about. I work with those who need help treating anxiety, mood disorder, grief, loss, substance abuse, self-expression and communication. My focus is children, youth and their families, and individual adults. I’m passionate about helping people see themselves as creative beings, feel inspired, and live positive lives.
